When I was a kid I had to mow the grass every saturday. This piece is about how the lawn was resigned to its fate. Compositionally, the idea was to create an illusion of depth through the application of differently textured layers of paint. Also, the other challenge I set for myself was to create a successful abstract composition with a “hole” in the center of it. This piece took about 40 hours of work.
